OUR STORY

Welcome to Canterbury Bakery.  Your wedding cake is one of the focal points of your wedding.  So, it should be beautiful and delicious.  That is where Canterbury Bakery comes in.  Our signature cake flavor is moist and tender yet can stand up to being stacked in tiers without the fear of splitting.  Our buttercream can be made as smooth as fondant which means great cake without the hassel of guests having to remove the fondant in order to get to the cake and buttercream underneath.  However, if you are one of the few that love fondant, our pastry chef, Sharon Lindsey, makes it from scratch and can flavor it to compliment any cake flavor you choose. 

 

With the many options that are available to today's brides, why stick with just cake?  Canterbury Bakery is able to make up your entire dessert bar with a 3 tier cake as the focal point.  That way you can offer guests more than just one flavor of cake.  You can include your favorite desserts with the ease of shopping at one location.

 

Sharon Lindsey is a pastry chef with over 20 years experience in the wedding industry.  Her training began at the age of 8.  Having a lifelong love of baking led Sharon into many areas of baking.  A cake decorating class at the age of 12 began her journey into custom cake design.  At the age of 14 she began baking sourdough bread and shortly became a Master 4H-er in the breads project.  A love of breads led Sharon into baking Artisan yeast breads based on centuries old recipes from Europe.  Addtional training came from attending LeCordon Bleu, Atlanta and the Art Institute of Charleston, SC.  So, no matter what items you may need for your event Sharon is up to the task.
